Introduced in 1934, the Stearman biplane was one of the primary trainers of the USAAF, USN, and RCAAF during World War II. More than 10,000 were manufactured, and, after the war, many were sold on the civilian market, since becoming popular as crop dusters, sports planes, and air show models.
