The RAF's last biplane fighter, the Gloster Gladiator was first flown in 1934 and shipped to numerous militaries around the world during the late 1930s. It served the Allies in France, Norway, Greece, and in defense of Malta, though a number were also used by the Fins against the invading Soviet Union during the Winter War of 1939-1940.
