This design was the first official flag of Alabama, adopted in 1861 as Alabama left the Union. It only flew for one month before being replaced by the Confederate national flag. This double-sided flag features the goddess Liberty on the obverse, and a snake with a cotton plant on the reverse. The Latin phrase "Noli Me Tangere" translates to "Touch Me Not," an homage to the Gadsden Flag. This durable polyester flag comes ready to display with reinforced edging and brass grommets. 5'x 3'.
