At the 1779 Battle of Flamborough Head, Continental Navy Captain John Paul Jones captured the British frigate HMS Serapis but lost his own flagship, the USS Bonhomme Richard, which sank with its mast and ensign. Replicating the newly designed ensign flown by Jones aboard the captured Serapis, this screen-printed, polyester flag includes a canvas header, reinforced edging and brass grommets. 5'x 3'.
