Begun as an Army tank destroyer project in the early 1950s, the Ontos wound up going to the Marines because it was easy to deploy and boasted heavy firepower. Replicating an M50A1 Ontos employed in Vietnam, this 1/35 scale, plastic kit features a detailed hull, realistic M40 recoilless rifles, plenty of photo-etched brass parts, free-rolling wheels with one-piece vinyl tracks, authentic markings, and two soldier figures. 5" long; 369 parts, assembly required.
