William Phillips. Led by Lt. Col. Hal Moore, soldiers of the 7th Cavalry Regiment secure Landing Zone X-Ray in the Ia Drang Valley, Vietnam, on November 14, 1965. By day's end, the 450 men of the 7th Cavalry had engaged more than 2,000 North Vietnamese Army regulars in one of the first major battles of the Vietnam War.
This 28"x 14" limited edition, numbered print is signed by the artist and by five Battle of Ia Drang veterans, including Distinguished Service Cross recipient Lt. Gen. Hal Moore; Sgt. Major Basil Plumley, who made all four combat jumps with the 82nd Airborne in World War II; and helicopter pilot Lt. Col.
