The Battle of Peleliu (codenamed Operation Stalemate II), which was fought from September to November, 1944, to capture an airstrip on the small coral island, had the highest casualty rate of any battle in World War II's Pacific Theater.
Replicating a 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, private employed in fierce fighting in that bloody battle, this fully articulated, 1/6 scale figure comes equipped with a USMC utility uniform, USMC boots, and an M1 helmet with a camouflage cover; realistic weapons, including an M1903A1/Unertl sniper rifle and an M1 bayonet with a scabbard; plenty of equipment, including binoculars, a first aid pouch and a canteen; authentic insignia; and more. You even get a lifelike crab figure and a Japanese military cap! 12" tall.
