Based on the legendary A6M Zero, the Nakajima A6M2-N was a seaplane deployed by the Japanese in the early 1940s. It was used as an interceptor and fighter-bomber, including terrorizing American PT boats at night. It also saw limited service as a recon plane and in support of amphibious landings. A total of 327 were produced.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model — a replica of an A6M2-N as it appeared in 1941 — features engraved panel lines, a centerline and wing-mounted floats, a glazed canopy, a well-equipped cockpit, and a rotating propeller. Measures approximately 5½" long with a 6¼" wingspan.
