Named for the commander of U.S. forces in Vietnam from 1968-1972, Creighton Abrams, the M1 Abrams is a main battle tank that was introduced in 1980 and ultimately replaced the M60 Patton. It has seen combat action in numerous Middle Eastern conflicts and more than 10,000 have thus far been manufactured.
Measuring over two-feet long, this 1/16 scale plastic kit is a centerpiece replica of an M1A2 featuring a single-piece lower and upper hull, a rotating turret (with a two-piece main gun), optional hatches, a heavy machine gun (with ammo belt and box), smoke grenade dischargers, jerry cans, storage containers, a tow cable, transparent lights, numerous photo-etched parts (including brackets, grilles, straps, and more), individual tracks links, and authentic markings.
