Completed in July 1944, the Hawker Hurricane IIC (PZ865) was the last of 14,533 to be built — giving it the name "Last of the Many" that it wore for several years. Used by the company for trial work, the aircraft underwent civil registration in 1950 and was given to the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby. They restored it and the Hurricane flew with Canadian Flt. J. Whalen DFC of the Sea Command.
This 1/48 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master hand-painted replica of a Hawker Hurricane IIC, as it appeared as the "Last of the Many!" in 1944, features engraved panel lines, a metal propeller, an opening canopy with a removable pilot figure, optional-position landing gear, authentic pad-printed markings, and a display stand. 10" wingspan.
