Also called "The Dragon," the F-117 Nighthawk #0835 took its maiden flight on June 30, 1988. Shortly thereafter, it went on to carry out 26 combat missions with the 416th TFS. In 2003, the aircraft was painted gray to test the color's effectiveness, since its usual black scheme proved poor in sunlight. Unfortunately, no conclusion was drawn before it was retired.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master replica of an F-117A Nighthawk, as it appeared as "Gray Dragon" with the 53rd TEG, Detachment 1, 53rd WG, USAF at Holloman AFB in 2004, features a professional paint scheme, loads of optional armament, optional-position landing gear, authentic markings, and a display stand. 10¾" long.
