Also known as the "Skullbangers," the 190th Fighter Squadron or the 124th Fighter Wing returned to Gowen Field Air National Guard Base in Boise, Idaho on October 24, 2016, after completing a six-month deployment in Incirlik, Turkey to support Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Created to defeat ISIS, OIR had a mission to restore stability in the Middle East by targeting Da'esh in Syria and Iraq. By 1978, the A-10A was delivered to the 118th FS at Connecticut ANG "Flying Yankees" and then transferred to the 190th in 2007 where it was converted into a "C" variant.
This 1/72 scale, die cast model is a Hobby Master replica of an A-10C Thunderbolt II, as it appeared with the 190th FS/124th FW at Incirlik AB, Turkey in October 2016, features engraved panel lines, optional-position landing gear, an opening canopy, loads of optional armament, a well-equipped cockpit, a professionally hand painted scheme, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures 8¾" long with a 9¾" wingspan.
