The Cosmopolitan, available from 1949 to 1954, was a luxury car built by Lincoln. In addition to being available in coupe, sedan, and convertible body styles, the Cosmopolitan also offered a limousine, most famously used by United States presidents including Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, and John Kennedy. It was the first such vehicle to feature a bulletproof, bubbletop canopy, able to protect the president on parade routes.
A stunning replica of the 1950 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Bubbletop, this 1/24 scale, die cast model features a finely cast chassis, glazed front spotlights, an opening hood revealing a detailed engine, opening doors (including two rear suicide doors), a well-equipped interior with bench seating and dashboard instrumentation, a signature bulletproof canopy top, a rear-mounted spare, a "US-1" license plate, a realistic undercarriage, plenty of simulated chrome, attachable presidential flags, and steerable treaded tires. Measures approximately 10½" long.
